By the end of this course, students will be able to:

– Define key concepts, vocabulary, advantages, challenges and theories related to multilingualism

– Develop cultural competence and can foster an inclusive learning environment

– Understand the interrelationship between languages and identity, culture and gender

– Reflect on Global, EU and local policies

– Apply multilingual teaching strategies and materials to facilitate foreign language acquisition

– Know what the different parts of a foreign language lesson plan entail

– Create simple foreign language teaching sequences for a multilingual/multicultural class
